After the successful completion of last blog post, I just thought that I will continue with the series of more experiences. But one day, something happened suddenly and I had to move to Cambridge-Boston, MA (Massachusetts). I finished my 10 days trip and while on the way back I just thought of putting my experiences on the paper and when I was on airport waiting for my flight I jotted down the Boston diary.
With due apologies to my Seattle diary and with the promise that I'll come back to the Seattle diary I would like to present "The Boston Experience". I am really feeling that I am presenting the blog posts in a very disorganized manner. We call it "Ad-hock basis" in technical terms.
Yes, I still remember my last waiting time on Dayton Airport while coming back from "The Niagara trip". Today I am on the Logan airport of Boston, MA. Its 5 o'clock (EST) and I have already passed 3 hours. It was really surprising to see the availability of $100 upgrade to Business class and the fast check in followed by security check. I had a hell lot of luggage with me, but still I was allowed to make it a cabin luggage.
For last half an hour I am waiting for the Alaska Air flight in front of me going to Portland to depart. The flight was supposed to take off at 4:35 but it is still waiting for take off in front of me.
Ok. Enough description of my current scene. I hope you are already there on Boston airport with me. :) Lets go into the flash back. but before that I asked myself, "Why do I write my Journey reviews?" Yes, you are right, to kill the time. That makes me remind that I have totally forgotten to upload my last journey experience reviews... I am getting really lazy I guess.
So, I started my Boston Journey with the Lincoln Town car from my home in Bellevue, WA. (Please take some efforts to see the link ;) I am sure you will envy me after looking at the car.) I started my journey early in the morning Monday, 20th Oct 2008. I was really in hurry and had called the town car to pick me up. (By the way, my flight to Seattle is right in front of me. It has just arrived from some other city I guess. But don't worry, my boarding time is 5:50 PM. And I am expected to reach Seattle by 9:48 PM(PST)) Coming back to the subject, the car driver/owner has become a really good friend of mine. His name is Mr. Narinder Sharma from Chandigadh, UP, India. He is very nice and friendly person. (People from the flight are landing their feet on the Logan airport, terminal B15. I still have half an hour to board on to the flight. I might need to finish the writeup on plane.) On Monday, I was really in a bad mood as was scared of something. Till today, I haven't been able to figure out what was I afraid of? The Sunday, 19th Oct was really a very hectic day. It was all busy and I did not get time to pack up for the trip. After so much of thick and thins I threw my bag in the Lincoln and I went to grab my GPS device from my corolla. We started 5 minutes late which was making Narinder a bit upset. But he was keeping cool. He was supposed to pick up another guest after dropping me off. He asked me for the return journey date, flight number and time of arrival and noted it down. Today, I got the reminder call from him when I was on my way to airport from office. I like his punctuality, loyalty and promptness. Finally we reached airport & got out of car. Narinder did not even ask for the money I owed him. The other customer had just arrived and was waiting for him. He just told me "Ji baad me dekh lenge. Aap vaapas aaiye jaldi..."It means "We'll manage it later, come back soon."
I checked in and went ahead through the security check. I had to wait for my flight but it was not a long wait. I called my one of the best friends in India, to my Parents and little bro. I had a nice chat with them. It was a big day for my friend as he had come to my hometown to do some arrangements and formalities before marriage. I had a nice talk with him for a while and go on to the plane. The captain announced the journey time and weather report. It was a cold day in Seattle, around 6-7 degree Celsius. I was really surprised to know that the flight was for 4 hours and 36 minutes. This was 1 hour lesser than expected.
Finally, the flight landed at Logan airport on time and I kept my feet on the Land of Massachusetts - The Spirit of America. I was running 1 hour before schedule. The logan airport is yet another good airports in USA. It's one of the busiest too. As I remember, on wikipedia, I had learned about Massachusetts that it is one of the most populated states in United states. Its 3rd highest if I am not wrong.
The real Boston experience had begun. "The Enteprise" car rental experience to start with...
But before that small commercial break... Stay tuned... Don't go away... :)
